At TSI, we want you to feel confident and informed when it comes to your earnings. Every payday, you’ll receive a pay stub that breaks down how your pay was calculated. Here’s a simple guide to help you read and understand each section of your pay stub.

Name: Your Full Name
Pay period: The dates you’re being paid
Payment date: the date the money is deposited into your bank account.

Regular Hours: Hours you worked at your normal rate
Overtime Hours: Extra hours worked beyond 44 hours/week (paid at 1.5x)
Regular Pay: regular hours x regular pay rate
Overtime Pay: overtime hours x overtime pay rate
Vacation Pay: 4% of your overall pay
Allow: (if applicable)
Gross Pay: Your total earnings before deductions

Regular Hours: Units (worked hours) x Rate (pay rate) = Amount
EI Ins. Earning:

These deductions are required by law and go toward income tax, retirement (CPP), and unemployment insurance (EI).
We remit them to the government on your behalf.

Net Pay (Your Take-Home Pay): This is the actual amount deposited into your bank account after deductions.
The YTD section shows how much you’ve earned and how much has been deducted so far this year.
