Common Questions About Hours, Job Types, Call-Ins, and Sick Days

At TSI, we believe in clear communication and fair treatment. Whether you’re just joining or already working with us, we know you may have questions about how your job schedule works. Here’s a breakdown of the most common questions our workers ask — and our answers.

How do hours and shifts work?

Your hours depend on the job type and the client’s needs. Most of our roles fall into the following categories:

  • Full-Time: Usually 35–44 hours/week

  • Part-Time: Fewer than 30 hours/week

  • Temporary/Contract: May vary week-to-week

  • Day/Night Shifts: Some clients offer day shifts (7 AM – 3 PM), while others have evening or night shifts.

Once you’re placed in a role, we’ll confirm your expected start/end times, location, and dress code.

👷 What types of jobs do you offer?

We offer a wide range of general labor and skilled roles, including:

  • Warehouse & Packaging

  • Cleaning & Janitorial

  • Manufacturing & Assembly

  • Event Staffing

  • Hospitality

  • Forklift/Skilled Trades (for qualified workers)

  • Office Administrator

Many of these jobs don’t require experience — just reliability and a good attitude!

📞 What happens if I can’t come in?

We understand life happens, but you must call us if you can’t make it to work. Please notify us at least 2 hours before your shift so we can inform the client.

✅ Call the emergency line right away 905 - 605 - 3040 (Ext: 4)

❌ Do NOT just text or not show up — this may affect future job offers.

🤒 What if I’m sick?

If you are sick and can’t safely work, we encourage you to stay home and recover. Call us to let us know — we’ll appreciate your honesty and may ask for a doctor’s note if you’re off for several days.

We follow health and safety rules and do not want sick workers putting themselves or others at risk.

📆 Is the work always the same each week?

Not always. Some assignments last weeks or months, while others may be 1–3 days. We’ll let you know:

  • If a job is short-term or long-term

  • Whether there is potential for permanent hire

  • What to expect in terms of hours

Let us know if you prefer steady work, evening shifts, or weekends, and we’ll match you accordingly.

💡 What happens if I’m late or miss a day without calling?

We take attendance seriously. If you're late or miss work without notice:

  • You may be removed from the job

  • It could affect your chance of getting future shifts

  • Multiple no-shows may lead to termination from our agency

But we’re here to support you — just stay in touch and communicate.

📞 What’s the best way to stay updated on jobs and shifts?

  • Check your texts or emails regularly

  • Make sure we have your current phone number and address

  • Respond quickly to job offers — the first reply usually gets priority!

✍️ Final Note

Our goal is to treat you with fairness and respect, while expecting professionalism and reliability in return. If you ever have questions, please don’t hesitate to call us or visit the office. We’re here to help you succeed.
