💰 How Do We Pay? Understanding TSI’s Payroll Process

At TSI, we believe in doing things the right way — that means legal pay, on-time deposits, and clear information so you always know what to expect. Whether you're new to the workforce or switching from another agency, here’s everything you need to know about how we pay our workers.

✅ We Pay by Direct Deposit — Always

We do not pay cash. All workers are paid by direct deposit, which is fast, secure, and fully traceable.

Why this matters:

• You’re protected under employment law

• You’ll receive proper pay stubs for tax purposes

• Your income can help with credit, loans, or renting

💡 You’ll need to provide a void cheque or direct deposit form when registering. We’ll help you if you’re unsure how.

🕒 When Do You Get Paid?

Payday is every [Weekly Friday]

You’ll be paid one week after your first completed shift, and then every week after that.

Example: Work your first shift on Monday → Get paid the next Friday

📄 What’s on Your Pay Stub?

Each pay stub will include:

• Total hours worked

• Hourly wage

• Overtime (if any)

• Deductions (taxes, CPP, EI)

• Net pay (what’s deposited)

You’ll receive a digital or paper pay stub every payday.

📬 Year-End Tax Forms (T4)

Every February, we send you a T4 slip that shows your total earnings for the year — for your tax return.

You’ll need to:

• Keep your contact info up to date

• Let us know if your address or email changes

⚠️ Avoid Agencies That Pay Cash

If another agency offers to pay you cash, be careful. It may seem easier upfront, but it puts you at serious risk:

• You’re not protected by employment laws

• You might not be paid correctly

• You won’t qualify for EI, CPP, or other benefits

• You could face trouble at tax time
